Temperature has been horribly cold this week, with felt air temperature reaching below -40°C, that I just needed to cuddle on the couch with some warm, very warm yarn! I picked up a mostly abandoned project, Waffle socks.

The stitch is simple but cozy, and the yarn (Berroco Ultra Alpaca Fine) has just the right amount of roughness. Chances are I won’t finish both socks before next winter (I’m very slow at knitting socks!), but in the meantime the promise of toasty feets is enough to keep my motivation high.
